Bit of a visual update today as there's not so much to write about. (Also, dear pedant, I am well aware the accents are missing in the headline. My laptop has no Num Lock key and I cannot find a workaround to input the accents).

The rain has been exceptionally heavy in the last few days and it's completely flattened some of the blooms in the garden.

So some things are looking a bit squished and have lost their petals.

The water level in the pond is pretty high.

And speaking of height... the sunflowers are still blooming and attracting lots of bees.

Some things have been thoroughly munched, but entirely un-coincidentally, we have had a noticeable rise in the butterfly population in the garden. So all fine.

Nothing has yet attacked the runner beans, which should soon be ready for picking. I'll just have to develop a taste for them.

ree

And speaking of produce, let's compare apples and pears.

We have a nice collection of rose hips. Anyone any ideas what to do with rose hips?

ree

And the hypericum is berrying too.

The rain has clearly exploded all the dandelion clock as there are seeds floating everywhere. Must be annoying for spiders as they are getting stuck in all the cobwebs.

ree

When I was a little girl, we used to catch dandelion seeds and make a wish on them before letting them go. Anyone else do that? The air is alive with wishes today.

Nice beans! You can make herbal tea with rose hips. https://www.earthfoodandfire.com/wild-rose-hip-tea/

Let me know how it turns out 😋
